We hope you can join us on Tuesday, November 15 at 7pm for an online presentation from Nicole Frydman of Uniting Pride of Champaign County (the UP Center). Nicole will provide a training session on LGBTQ+ Cultural Competency, which will give information on terms, definitions, best practices, and how the current climate of harm and the increase in anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment have an impact and what people can do about it.
Nicole will also draw parallels and engage from the perspective of being a member of both the LGBTQ+ and Jewish communities. The current increase in antisemitism is mirroring the increase in anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric. It's an alarming time across the board for marginalized groups like ours, and we must all join in solidarity to meet the threats that face us.
