We Need the John Lewis Voting Rights Act!
Voting rights are under attack by legislatures across the United States. That’s why it’s essential to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act of 2021, which would restore the full protections of the original, bipartisan Voting Rights Act of 1965 that was gutted by the Supreme Court in 2013.
Coalition members that include the CU chapter of Bend the Arc Jewish Action, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, League of Women Voters of Champaign County, and the NAACP Champaign County will hold a Zoom event Today, May 3 from 7-8 pm to provide you with information about the Act and demonstrate how to take action by contacting your Members of Congress.
