Description

The Champaign-Urbana chapter of Bend the Arc Jewish Action will be co-sponsoring a talk on April 10 by El Salvador rights activist Armando Márquez Ochoa, of the El Salvador group FUNDAHMER (Fundacion Hermano Mercedes Ruiz). The talk will focus on the plight of Salvadoran and Central American migrants. 

Other co-sponsors include CUFAIR, La Casa Cultural Latina, New American Welcome Center, and C-U Immigration Forum. Bend the Arc:CU will be providing refreshments.

FUNDAHMER is a Salvadoran non-profit social organization that supports community initiatives to transform the conditions of poverty, exclusion, and marginalization of the people living in Morazan, La Libertad, Colon, and San Salvador.
